Kathleen is our newest team member and we are so excited to have her. She is currently working towards a bachelor's degree in Biology and joined the Wylie Vet team in April 2023 as a Veterinary Technician Assistant. Previously she worked at a doggy daycare as a Kennel Technician and Receptionist. Kathleen has been interested in working with animals since high school, where she participated in the Wylie FFA Veterinary Medicine Career Development competition and qualified for the state-level competition for four years straight. She hopes to apply to the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M in the near future and is particularly interested in working with companion animals and possibly exotic wildlife. She has two pets: Pin Brunswick, a crazy kitten with the energy of a pinball, and Sydney, a spoiled mini Aussie who isn’t very fond of Pin. She’s a Marvel nerd and a big fan of “The Office.” Our patients and clients benefit from Kathleen’s gentle and kind nature, and her eager-to-learn attitude makes her a joy to be around. We’re so glad to support her on her journey in vet med!
