Dr. Ewa Cissik joined the Wylie Vet team in November 2022. Born in Poland, Dr. Cissik moved to the Dallas area with her family when she was a teenager. She found her love for veterinary medicine after adopting a Siamese mix cat in her sophomore year of college while working towards her Bachelor's Degree in Zoology at Texas A&M University. She then went on to earn her DVM from A&M in 2000 right alongside Dr. Johnson and Dr. Volpi. Before joining our team, she worked at a veterinary hospital in McKinney for over 20 years. Professionally, Dr. Cissik’s interests include dentistry and internal medicine. In her free time, Dr. Cissik spends most of her time with her family—husband John and their 3 boys— enjoying local sporting events and visiting state parks to hike the local trails. Also a part of the family are her two pets: a spunky Pitbull terrier and a tabby cat. Her hobbies include reading literature and romance novels, tinkering on the computer, and practicing yoga. Dr. Cissik’s witty humor and sarcasm keep our team laughing, and her no-nonsense approach to medicine makes her an efficient, thorough, and overall wonderful veterinarian. We’re so happy she’s here!
