Amar joined us as an intern in October 2024 to become a level one Certified Veterinary Assistant, and was officially hired as a Technician Assistant in February 2025. Previously, Amar was a volunteer at the Royse City Animal Shelter, and interned as a kennel technician at Rowlett Animal Hospital. He also spent two years taking vet assisting practicum classes, and has earned his Elanco Veterinary Medical Applications Certification, Equine NHJTCA Certification, and General Management Certification. Amar aspires to be a surgical vet technician. At home, Amar has two cats: Moon, a grumpy black Domestic Shorthair, and Sun, a sweet and quiet yellow Domestic Shorthair. In his free time, Amar explores interests such as track and field, Pokémon, music, and playing co-op games. He is grateful to have the support of his mom and encouragement of his dad on his journey in vet med, and we are very fortunate to have him on our team!
