Dr. Alisa Volpi has been a part of the Wylie Vet team since 2009, but has been working in vet clinics since the day she turned 16. She earned her associate's degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 1996, and graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000 as the proud recipient of The Gentle Doctor Award. Dr. Volpi is especially interested in animal behavior and pain management and is currently Level Three Fear Free Certified. At home she has three dogs: Mouse, a Great Pyranees who barks at everything, Lola, a corgi who thinks she’s in charge of everyone, and Ollie, an old man who used to be a crazy agility puppy. In terms of human family, Dr. Volpi is married to her college sweetheart and they have two kids. In her free time Dr. Volpi can usually be found reading and drinking a decaf iced coffee. Her advocacy for a fear-free environment benefits both our clients and patients, and she makes sure that every human that walks into the clinic leaves understanding their pets a little bit better.
